Parked Domains
Discover what parked domains are actually, why they are so practical and how to park a domain name.
There are 2 services you need for a functioning website - a domain name and a hosting plan for it. When you type the domain address in your web browser, you see the content that is uploaded in the hosting account, but if that domain address isn't linked to such an account or to an email service, it's parked. Put simply, the domain name is registered and you are its owner, but it does not have any content of its own. As a substitute, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” page from the registrar company, or it could be directed to some other URL of your choice. The main advantage of parking a domain name is that you can keep it and be sure that nobody else is going to take it. Meanwhile, it won't occupy a slot for a hosted Internet domain in your account. You can also park domains if you have a .com, for example, and you register domain addresses with other extensions such as .net, .org or country-code ones to forward them to the main website as a way to protect a brand name.

Parked Domains in Shared Website Hosting
With each and every
shared website hosting package that we offer you are able to park as many domains as you want and in contrast to other companies, we do not have any service fees for that. However, this can be done exclusively for domains that are registered through us as parking a domain is possible only with the registrar, and not through the host unless you have the two services with only one company. We have a feature-rich Domain Manager tool where you can conveniently park and un-park domain addresses, pick one of the templates we offer and add custom text to it, or direct a domain name to a URL of your choice. If you host a parked domain name, our system will modify its name servers and set up a folder in the File Manager automatically. Also you can set filters to check out only the parked or only the hosted domain addresses, which will enable you to handle them fast and easy.

Parked Domains in Semi-dedicated Servers
With each and every
semi-dedicated server that we offer you will have the opportunity to park as many domain names that are registered through us as you want. Since only the registrar company can offer a parking feature, you can not park domain addresses which are only hosted on our sophisticated cloud hosting platform. From the Domain Manager section of your Hepsia hosting CP you'll be able to park and un-park domains with just a few mouse clicks and filter all domains that you've got by their status, for easier control. We provide several different templates which you can use and if you want to, you may also add some custom text to each of them. If you choose to un-park a domain and host it inside your account, you'll not have to do anything manually - our system will set up a domain folder inside the File Manager section and will create all of the required DNS records so that your domain works properly and starts loading the content you upload for it on our servers.
